Location: Tanzania (with remote options available)
Time Commitment: Flexible (Minimum 5-10 hours per week)

Techforward Tanzania is an NGO dedicated to empowering youth and underrepresented communities through technology education and access. We aim to bridge the digital divide by providing training, resources, and opportunities in fields such as coding, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. Position Summary:
The Outreach Volunteer will support Techforward Tanzania’s efforts to engage communities, increase awareness of our programs, and establish partnerships with key stakeholders. The volunteer will work closely with the Director of Programs and Operations and Communications Team to organize community events, promote digital inclusion initiatives, and expand the reach of our programs throughout Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement:
- Identify and engage with local schools and University, youth organizations, and community groups to promote Techforward Tanzania’s programs.
- Represent Techforward Tanzania at workshops, community meetings, and tech events.
- Distribute informational materials and encourage participation in our digital literacy and technology training programs.
- Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials, business leaders, educational institutions, and NGOs.
- Collaborate with partners to support joint initiatives aimed at digital empowerment and skill development.
- Event Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of outreach events such as coding boot camps, digital literacy workshops, and career fairs.
- Help with event promotion via social media platforms, local outreach, and direct communication with target audiences.
- Awareness Campaigns:
- Contribute to the creation of digital and print outreach materials, including flyers, newsletters, and social media content.
- Provide feedback on campaign effectiveness and suggest improvements to outreach strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Passion for technology and social impact, especially in education and community development.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse community groups.
- Experience or interest in digital literacy, technology training, or grassroots outreach.
- Comfortable using social media and digital tools to support campaigns.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Optional: Swahili language proficiency is a plus.
